Ashleigh & Jamie

Ashleigh and Jamie live just round the corner from us. I often walk past their house when walking our dog Cooper, so having a couple so local to us is always that little bit extra special. and great to be able to meet face to face ahead of the big day.

From the moment I first met them, you could see the wonderful connection they have with one another. During that first meeting, they mentioned how emotional they both are, and they were not joking. This truly was an emotional day.

Before the service, during the morning preparations, each of them had prepared a letter along with some gifts. These were exchanged ahead of time so they didn’t break the tradition of seeing one another. I was fortunate enough to capture both Ashleigh and Jamie reading their letters and opening their gifts. Thankfully, this was done before hair and makeup, as there were definitely a few tears shared.

They were married locally at St Michaels and All Angels Church, built in the 13th century within the grounds of Great Oakley Hall in Northamptonshire. This small but beautiful church came to life on the morning of April 29th, 2023, as friends and family gathered to witness their vows.

After a few photographs, the wedding party moved on to the Holiday Inn Corby for drinks, canapés, and more photos before heading in for the wedding breakfast. The staff were excellent, tending to everyone’s needs, and the meal went exceptionally well. Emotions were running high once again during the speeches. Jamie’s daughter, Amelia, gave a beautiful speech to her stepmom Ashleigh, leaving not a dry eye in the room, including myself and many of the staff present.
