Ashleigh and Jamie live just around the corner from us, I practically walk past their house when walking our dog, Cooper, so it is always a pleasure to work with a local couple, and Ashleigh and Jamie were no exception.

They began their day by exchanging letters, something they chose to do nice and early, and it soon became clear why, before makeup for very good reason. Along with the letters came a few gifts, one of which was especially sentimental to Ashleigh. It is never easy watching someone become emotional, but Ashleigh’s stepdaughter, Amelia, was quick to step in and comfort her. At that moment, I knew it was going to be an emotional day for everyone, myself included.

They were married locally at St Michael’s and All Angels Church before heading to the Holiday Inn for their evening celebrations. Ashleigh and Jamie enjoyed their wedding breakfast before emotions ran high once again during the speeches. Amelia delivered a beautiful tribute to her stepmum, thanking her for putting a smile back on her dad’s face. It is this moment I have chosen to share below, rather than a more typical trailer.
