Just north lies the small village of Melchbourne, where St Mary Magdalene Church stands at its heart. First built in the 12th century and later rebuilt in 1770, its elegant Georgian style carries centuries of quiet history, watching over generations who have gathered within its walls.
Today, it felt like more than just a place—it felt like the centre of something truly shared. Lexy and Ed, who run the village pub, with their family roots in the surrounding farmland, are woven into the fabric of this community. And it showed. This was not only a day for friends and family, but for the village itself.
Locals stepped out to watch, to smile, to wish them well. In that moment, it was clear: this wasn’t just a celebration of two people, but of a whole community coming together—something timeless, held gently between history, place, and people.
