It’s always a privilege to be chosen to be part of a couple’s wedding day, but there’s something extra special when the couple are local. Gail and Ben don’t just live in the same town as us they’re less than a mile away! It meant even those early introduction meetings could be done face to face, which I always prefer, even if it’s not always possible.

Gail and Ben chose a beautiful summer’s day in August at the voco Hotel, Rockingham Forest. The venue offers two options for the ceremony indoors or outside on a spacious decking area and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, allowing them to have the outdoor wedding they’d always dreamed of.

Friends and family gathered on the deck, soaking up the sunshine as they watched Gail and Ben exchange their vows. Afterwards, the children filled the air with laughter and excitement as they enjoyed a selection of bouncy castles. It was clear they had thoughtfully planned a day that was just as special for the little ones as it was for the adults.
